How our reviews work

  • A few days after your order ships we'll email you a link to leave a review. When your feedback is published it will carry a Customer verified badge, so others know it came from a real order with us.
  • We only ever edit a review to remove profanity, spam, or personal details - otherwise it's published exactly as written, good or bad. We won’t ever remove or edit critical ones.
  • You don't need to have bought a product from us to review it - if you know the product, we want you to let other shoppers know what you honestly think, using the form on the product page. These are moderated in the same way, but won't carry our Customer verified badge.

Set and forget with the Audient ORIA Mini room correction system

The Audient ORIA Mini is a dedicated hardware room correction system designed to sit between your audio interface and studio monitors. It uses Sonarworks SoundID Reference to measure and correct the acoustic characteristics of your room, helping you create a more accurate and consistent monitoring environment.

With onboard processing, four calibration profile slots and support for stereo or 2.1 speaker setups, ORIA Mini provides room correction without relying on processing from your computer. It includes a SoundID measurement microphone and SoundID Reference software to get your monitoring system calibrated. The ORIA Mini has been developed in partnership with Sonarworks to provide hardware-based room correction using SoundID Reference. The system measures the acoustic response of your room and creates a calibration profile that can be loaded directly onto the ORIA Mini's onboard processor.

This allows ORIA Mini to compensate for unwanted room colouration and frequency imbalances, helping your speakers provide a more consistent reference at the listening position. Once the calibration profile has been loaded, the correction runs from the hardware rather than requiring SoundID Reference to remain active on your computer. The supplied MREF measurement microphone is designed specifically for room calibration. It uses an omnidirectional MEMS transducer with a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response and a maximum SPL of 125dBSPL.

Four calibration profiles with precision control

ORIA Mini can store up to four custom calibration profiles, allowing different target curves or listening simulations to be kept on the unit and recalled when required. Profiles can be switched directly from the hardware, making it possible to compare different monitoring configurations without rebuilding the calibration each time. SoundID Reference also allows translation checks by simulating different listening environments. This means you can check how a mix might translate to other playback systems without physically moving away from your studio monitors. For users who prefer to take manual control, ORIA Mini's onboard processing can also be configured using measurement software such as Smaart or Room EQ Wizard. This provides access to EQ, delay, trim and bass management controls for each output channel.

Audient also provides ORIA Control desktop software for configuring and controlling the ORIA Mini. The software is compatible with macOS and Windows, while the system can also be controlled remotely using an iPad or Stream Deck.

Onboard processing and 2.1 monitoring

The ORIA Mini supports stereo and 2.1 speaker configurations, with a stereo speaker output and dedicated subwoofer output. Bass management allows the crossover between the main speakers and subwoofer to be adjusted, while trim controls allow individual speaker levels to be balanced.

Delay processing can compensate for differences in speaker placement, helping audio from each speaker reach the listening position at the appropriate time. The onboard EQ can also be used to address unwanted acoustic characteristics and create a more consistent response.

Transparent audio performance

ORIA Mini uses 32-bit AD/DA conversion designed to minimise changes to the audio signal during processing. It provides a dynamic range of 127dB A-weighted on its line outputs, helping maintain a detailed and transparent signal path between your audio interface and monitors.

The analogue inputs accept balanced stereo line-level signals, while the optical input supports stereo S/PDIF from 44.1kHz to 96kHz. The system operates at a 96kHz sample rate, with sample rate conversion available for its digital input.

Designed to work with existing studio equipment

ORIA Mini is not an audio interface and does not send or receive audio through its USB connection. Instead, it is designed to sit between an existing audio interface or other sound source and your studio monitors. Analogue audio can be connected using the balanced stereo inputs, while the optical input accepts stereo S/PDIF.

The balanced TRS speaker outputs can connect directly to studio monitors with TRS or XLR inputs, while the system can also accommodate unbalanced connections where required. USB-C is used for power and control rather than audio transmission.

Sonarworks SoundID Reference with microphone

The ORIA Mini Complete package includes the ORIA Mini hardware, Sonarworks SoundID Reference software and an MREF measurement microphone. SoundID Reference provides the software environment used to measure the room and create calibration profiles, which can then be transferred to the ORIA Mini for hardware processing.
