These Percussion Plus junior claves are made from durable wood and produce a bright, warm tone when they are hit together. The smooth wooden surface and small size make them comfortable to hold and easy to play. They are also durable, which makes them particularly suitable for younger players.
Claves are the perfect rhythmic instruments to use in Afro-Cuban music such as rumba, mambo, salsa and Latin jazz. They are often used as an accompaniment with Samba packs, but work just as well alongside djembes as their sharp tone contrasts with the deep drums.
