The Sennheiser HD 490 PRO are open-back studio monitor headphones designed for accurate listening during music production, mixing and mastering.
Their wide soundstage and uncoloured frequency response give you a clear view of the detail in a mix, while the open-frame design helps reduce resonance and distortion.
Two different sets of ear pads are included, each with its own sound signature for producing and mixing. The pads can be switched to suit the task at hand and are both washable and replaceable, helping to extend the working life of the headphones.
The HD 490 PRO uses an open-frame architecture designed to reduce resonance and harmonic distortion. Its internal construction works alongside the neodymium magnets and low-frequency cylinder system to deliver a clear and detailed response across the frequency range.
The lightweight, flexible construction is designed to reduce pressure points, while the open-back design allows natural ventilation. The detachable cable can be connected to either the left or right earcup, giving you more flexibility when setting up in the studio.
The HD 490 PRO features 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm connections, along with braille-guided left and right earcups and grooved ear pads for glasses. The headphones are engineered in Germany and hand-assembled in Romania.
