Sales and Customer Support Administrator
Join our Haslemere team in a varied Sales Administration role, supporting customers, processing orders and quotes, managing enquiries and helping our Sales, Finance, Operations and Marketing teams keep everything running smoothly.
About the Role
We’re seeking a highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive individual to join our friendly and supportive team in our office-based role at Haslemere. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines customer care, order processing, sales administration and business support.
You’ll be dealing with a wide range of customers — from teachers and musicians to parents and school bursars — while working closely with our Sales, Finance, Operations and Marketing teams to keep everything running smoothly.
This is an ideal role for someone with strong administrative skills, a customer-first mindset and a natural attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Sales Administration inbox, prioritising tasks efficiently and ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound calls, emails and web chat enquiries.
- Communicate directly with customers, offering friendly and knowledgeable advice on musical instruments and equipment.
- Process orders, generate clear and competitive quotes, and manage service orders from sale through to invoicing.
- Attend sales meetings and provide administrative support to the wider Sales team.
- Liaise with internal departments to help resolve customer queries and issues.
- Open and manage customer support tickets via webchat and other platforms.
- Maintain accurate customer, order and service records.
- Support interdepartmental projects and contribute to improvements in operational efficiency.
Desirable Experience
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in an administrative role.
- Previous experience in sales administration is advantageous.
- Experience in direct customer communication (in person, by phone, email or webchat).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
