Introducing the Tanglewood TWR2 roadster II series parlour electro-acoustic guitar
This Tanglewood electro-acoustic guitar features a compact, parlour body design, making it easy for travelling musicians to bring with them to gigs or to use for practice when on the road. The small body does not mean a compromise in sound quality, as the long soundboard produces a big bass and bright highs that fits genres such as blues and roots. If you’re after a more compact guitar, then this is the perfect choice.
The parlour design
Parlour acoustic guitars are typically favoured by players of more low-key, less brash musical styles like folk and indie. The guitar’s ‘shoulders’ – where the body meets the neck joint – will usually be slightly more sloped than you’d see in a classic dreadnought acoustic, while the base of the body will also be narrower than larger sizes.
This design makes for a more comfortable and less physically intrusive playing experience. Another obvious benefit is the portability of parlour guitars. Their relatively smaller form factor means they lend themselves well to being slung in a case and brought to gigs with less hassle than bigger instruments.
Tanglewood TW-EX4 preamp
This electro-acoustic model is fitted with Tanglewood’s own TW-EX4 electronics and pick-up system, featuring a pre-amp with a 4-band EQ with bass, mid, treble and presence slider controls, and a separate rotary volume knob. Additionally, the TWR2 features an on-board digital chromatic tuner, offering precise and easy tuning for both practice and gigging situations.
