The Laney RB4 bass combo amplifier is a powerful and flexible amp designed to meet the demands of practice, recording, and live performance. Part of the respected Richter Bass series, the RB4 delivers reliable solid-state performance and a rich, punchy tone that suits players of all levels.
Delivering a solid 165 watts RMS through a custom-designed 15" speaker and high-frequency horn, the RB4 produces a big, room-filling bass sound that exceeds expectations for a compact combo. Whether you're in the studio or on stage, the RB4 is a serious performer with a tone much bigger than its appearance.
The preamp section includes High and Normal inputs for active or passive basses, a powerful three-band EQ with a parametric mid control for precise tone shaping, and a switchable compressor to add tightness and punch. An FX loop on the front panel allows you to insert time-based effects (like delay or reverb) after the preamp, ensuring they remain clean and clear, essential for maintaining a professional, articulate bass tone.
The RB4 also features an XLR DI output, making it easy to connect directly to a PA system or recording interface without the need for external mics or extra gear, perfect for live gigs and studio work alike.
Practice is made easy with a headphone output for silent sessions and an AUX input that lets you play along with your favourite tracks. You can also connect an external sound source of your choice for backing tracks.
Please note: the volume of music/backing track is controlled by the volume on the external sound source itself.
