Introducing the Mission LX-2 MKII standmount studio speakers
The Mission LX-2 MKII is a compact standmount speaker designed to deliver a clear and balanced sound, making it well suited to school studios, classrooms and educational music spaces. As part of the updated LX MKII range, it builds on Mission’s long-established design approach, incorporating elements from their higher-end models while remaining accessible and practical for everyday use.
Clean, controlled sound for learning and monitoring
Fitted with a 5" composite fibre bass driver and a 25 mm soft dome tweeter, the LX-2 MKII provides a well-balanced sound that works effectively for playback, monitoring and general music use in education settings. The bass reflex cabinet supports low-end response, while the high-frequency unit maintains clarity without becoming harsh, helping ensure detail is easy to hear.
Inverted driver layout for improved clarity
Mission’s inverted driver geometry places the tweeter below the bass driver, helping to better align the output from each unit. Combined with a carefully tuned crossover, this contributes to a more cohesive and accurate sound, particularly through the midrange where clarity is important for critical listening and teaching environments.
Reliable cabinet design for consistent performance
The cabinet is internally braced to reduce unwanted resonance and improve overall stability. Alongside refinements to the drive units, this helps the LX-2 MKII deliver a controlled and consistent performance that suits smaller studio setups and classroom use, where dependable and repeatable results are essential.
