Introducing the Pre-owned MMX Student Cello - 3/4 size
The MMX Student is the ideal choice for advanced students or young professional cellists on a budget as it represents unrivalled value for money. Each instrument is carved by hand in the MMX workshop to exacting standards. Each cello has a spruce top with a two-piece maple back and sides. The body is finished with an oil varnish to provide protection and an attractive sheen whilst allowing the natural qualities of the wood to show through. It is furnished with ebony fittings and an integrated tailpiece.
Before leaving our warehouse, the bridge and soundpost are carefully positioned and adjusted by our team of string specialists which helps to get the best possible resonance and tone from the cello. The instrument is then strung with a set of deluxe D’addario Prelude or Alphayue strings and the action adjusted further if necessary. All our MMX Student series instruments are supplied as an outfit that includes a padded gig-bag, carbon composite bow, and rosin.
Our second-hand instruments
We pride ourselves in only stocking the highest quality at Chamberlain Music. Although second-hand instruments may have some small cosmetic signs of use, this is of no detriment to the quality construction and the dependable, balanced tone of the cello.
