The Vicoustic Multifuser DC3 is a bi‑dimensional acoustic diffuser designed to elevate room acoustics by scattering sound in both vertical and horizontal planes. Ideal for studios, live rooms, home cinema and broadcast environments, it brightens and clarifies sound while enhancing speech intelligibility and musical definition. This diffuser blends performance with an attractive, architectural design that suits a variety of interior spaces.
Supplied as a set of four panels, each measuring 595×595×148 mm (23.4"x23.4"x5.8"), the Multifuser DC3 offers 1.42 m² of diffusion per box. Each set includes the VicFix Mini mounting system, making positioning straightforward and secure. Alternatively, Flexi Glue Ultra, a high tack adhesive designed to securely fix acoustic panels to walls and ceilings, is available to purchase separately.
Unlike absorption panels that remove energy, the DC3 uses a specialised root diffusion surface to scatter reflected sound evenly through the room. This controlled diffusion reduces hotspots, comb filtering and harsh reflections in the mid and high frequency range, helping spaces to sound more open and balanced without overly deadening the environment.
This third‑generation diffuser builds on the popularity of its predecessor, featuring built‑in holder rips for secure mounting using the VicFix system. You can mount panels on walls with the included VicFix Mini or optional VicFix J Profile, and on ceilings using the Flexi Glue Ultra (sold separately), giving flexibility for different acoustic layouts.
Each DC3 panel performs particularly well across mid and high frequencies, addressing common issues such as lack of clarity in speech or detail in music reproduction. By dispersing reflections rather than absorbing them, the Multifuser DC3 helps create a more lively yet controlled soundfield, which can make small rooms feel acoustically larger and more natural.
Manufactured from high‑quality expanded polystyrene (EPS), the Multifuser DC3 is lightweight yet durable, and its sculptural surface adds visual interest to any room. Panels are available in multiple colours and can be painted with water‑based paints to match décor, providing both acoustic benefits and aesthetic customisation.
