Goods In Coordinator
Join Frederick Hyde Ltd as a Goods In Coordinator, taking responsibility for receiving, checking, recording and organising incoming stock while helping ensure goods move smoothly through the warehouse.
Frederick Hyde Ltd is a leading music distribution company based in Haslemere, Surrey, the parent company of a number of well-known music brands. We have a large showroom, trade and retail e-commerce websites, a gig bag company, an instrument import and distribution company and a percussion manufacturing business.
We have an exciting opening for a Goods In Coordinator to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of the goods-in process, ensuring all deliveries are received, checked, recorded and stored accurately. You will need excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies before they become problems.
Primary job requirements will include (but are not limited to):
- Receive, unload and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Check quantities, product codes and condition of goods, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damage
- Accurately book goods into the warehouse/stock system and complete all relevant paperwork
- Label, organise and put stock away in the correct warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts and investigations where required
- Process returned goods, checking condition and quantities and updating stock records accurately
- Liaise with suppliers, couriers, hauliers and internal departments to resolve delivery issues
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised Goods In area and follow all company health & safety procedures
- Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect or excess stock promptly
- Complete goods-in paperwork and computer records accurately and promptly
- Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, production, despatch and other departments to ensure goods flow efficiently
- General warehouse duties, supporting other warehouse activities when required

- Organised: Able to keep track of multiple deliveries and competing priorities
- Accurate: Understands that incorrect stock records can cause problems further down the supply chain
- Good work ethic: Willing to get stuck in and take ownership of the job
- Safety-conscious: Follows procedures rather than taking shortcuts
- Team player: Communicates well with colleagues and other departments
- Proactive: Spots problems and raises them rather than simply passing them on
- Calm under pressure: Can maintain accuracy when several deliveries arrive or priorities change
- Good communicator: Able to communicate clearly with drivers, suppliers and colleagues
- Flexible and adaptable: Willing to help with wider warehouse activities when required
- Trustworthy: Particularly important if handling valuable stock or maintaining inventory records
Salary
£27,500 to £29,000
