Introducing our range of Claves

Apart from our Meinl African claves, all of our claves are from Percussion Plus and come in a variety of different sizes and woods such as maple, sheesham and oak wood.

With our quantity discounts you can expand your classroom percussion sets for a great price and help young students learn fun rhythms and allow them to play together with high quality, brightly coloured instruments that have been built to last.

Great for education

Our range of wooden claves also includes packs of multiple claves which are great for music classes and lessons on rhythm. The PP3065 pack of 12 rhythm sticks is a great idea for music teachers who are looking for an ideal way to get all the class involved.

Claves will also make a great addition to any school band, ensemble or orchestra.

More about Claves

Claves consist of a pair of short dowels or sticks typically made of hardwood. The player holds the first dowel loosely in one hand while striking it with the second dowel to produce high pitched rhythmical passages. Claves can be heard frequently in Cuban, Samba and African music as well as in many contemporary rock and pop songs.

They are traditional instruments from Cuba and produce a high-pitched clicking sound when they are hit together. A sturdy and compact instrument making them perfect for schools, music groups and orchestras.
