Resource Review - Beginner Orchestra

Written by Anna Gower24/08/23

Beginner Orchestra offer flexible arrangements that can be used in the classroom or ensembles https://beginnerorchestra.com. There are easy and advanced parts for each instrument and you can pick and mix to create your own arrangement to suit the ability and experience of individual players in your ensemble.

Keeping in mind that these days it’s rare to have a ‘full orchestra’, especially in primary school, these resources also come with backing tracks to fill any gaps in the line up and audio tracks of each part so that players can hera the full outcome - and their own part - as they learn the piece.

The organisation also offers to create any parts for you that may not exist in the original arrangement, which means these resources truly are flexible for any ensemble line up!

They currently offer 3 free downloads - 2 full arrangements and a practice diary for students. Well worth checking out if you have a new ensemble starting and want to get a feel for their ensemble skills without wanting to spend hours creating your own resources.
