This model is the 'conductor's' version of the standard concert stand and is popular, comparatively lightweight and has the same mix of classic and contemporary design.
All of the structural parts of this stand are made from high quality steel. This contributes enormously to the stands overall rigidity and because the tubular stem is hollow, it also makes the stand more light weight than you would imagine.
The base of the stand is designed to nest which ensures compact storage for multiple stands and the rubber feet make sure than the floor is protected and also that the stands do not slide on the floor whilst in use. The base for this conductors model is solid, rather than hollow for extra stability too.
Whilst this stand is a brilliant and quality product for bulk purchases, it does have a number of features which make it the ideal conductor's model. As mentioned, the base of the stand is particularly sturdy which makes it ideal for podium use. The shaft of the stand features a thumb locking screw which makes the stand capable of holding more - ideal for those large, heavy scores. The desk area of the stand is large and incorporates a padded, double lip tray which is ideal for pencils and batons. The desk is produced from solid beech which adds an air of class to the whole set up!
