Introducing the Percussion Play rainbow cavatina

This versatile and colourful cavatina is diatonically tuned in C Major (C4-C6), allowing it to produce a vast range of expressive sounds that are suitable for both beginners and experienced musicians. The notes are arranged in a traditional style, with low to high notes going from left to right. Set over black resonators, the vibrantly coloured aluminium notes are assigned to a rainbow scale, making it fun and easy to play alongside Percussion Play’s other rainbow instruments.

These cavatinas are suitable for outdoor use thanks to their durable designs, making them perfect for school playgrounds, activity areas, and sensory gardens. There’s also the option of a wall-mounted version, which is great for indoor play areas and music therapy centres.

Get everyone involved

This inclusive play equipment provides multi-generational fun, allowing players of any age or ability to join in. It supports SEND learning by helping to improve hand-eye coordination, listening skills, and motor skills in an interactive and engaging way. The stand is also at a height that makes it accessible for both young children and those who use a wheelchair, which is great for elderly or disabled musicians who want to continue experiencing the joy of creating music.

Built for outdoor use

The Percussion Play rainbow cavatina is built from durable, weather-proof materials that perform well in even the most challenging outdoor environments. Each note is individually and securely attached to a high-density polyethylene backboard. Black anodised aluminium resonators offer maximum vibration and resonance, as well as incredible durability, and each resonator is individually capped with a polyurethane rain baffle. Plus, there are stainless steel security fixings, which deter vandalism and prevent the theft or removal of the instrument.

Surface mounted vs Ground install

There are two ways to install this Percussion Play product:

Surface mounted

The leg is attached to a base plate, which is then fixed into the ground using anchors. This provides a brilliant level of stability, whilst making it possible to move the product around with relative ease.

Ground install

The leg is directly embedded into the ground, providing excellent, long-lasting stability. However, once placed, the instrument will be very hard to move - perfect for permanent installations.
