This 2 string Reco Reco is made from polished aluminium and comes with a scraper. It’s a versatile instrument that is used in samba, as well as in frevo, march and other Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms, such as the Puerto Rican bomba, calypso, soca and Colombian folk. It can also be used as a sound effect for recordings. It’s a great instrument for any metal percussion collection or educational music space.
The Reco Reco consists of springs extended across a hollow metal frame that are struck or brushed up and down with the scraper. This unique instrument produces a crisp and sharp sound that is amplified by the resonator beneath the springs.
