The Artiphon Orba 2 is an all-in-one handheld instrument designed for spontaneous and creative music-making and instant sampling with an 8 pad looper, a sampler, synth and controller with a built-in mic.

Designed for portability, Orba 3 features a built-in speaker as loud as an acoustic guitar and a ⅛” headphone jack for private jamming. With over five hours of battery life and a new integrated mic, you can capture sounds from anywhere — at home, in the studio, or on the go. Orba 3 has everything you need for spontaneous creativity.

With over 300 sample-based sounds and an integrated looper, you can create, layer, and perfect your music effortlessly. Plus, MPE MIDI over USB-C and Bluetooth ensure seamless integration with your favourite music creation software, while its built-in speaker, rechargeable battery, and portability make it perfect for creating music anytime and anywhere.

It works seamlessly with Orba 3's upgraded sound engine, allowing for richer, more dynamic sampling. Capturing any sound with Orba 3 is as simple as pressing one button. Instantly transform your sample into a playable instrument, automatically tuned to your key—no extra equipment or cables required.

High-quality sound

Choose from 300+ high-quality sounds, from guitars and pianos to experimental synths. The Artiphon Connect app offers Sound Packs inspired by genres like Hip-Hop, Trap, and Tropical House. With the built-in mic, you can easily sample on the fly or upload your own.

Integrated looper

With Orba's integrated looper, you can start recording instantly — no extra screens required — by using the 'A' button to toggle through menu functions right on the device itself. Layer and record the four parts: Drum, Bass, Chord, and Lead using the built-in metronome, while Orba 3’s quantize feature ensures your notes stay perfectly on beat making complete songs.

Shape your sound

Modulate sound with nine gestures like Tilt, Shake, Tap, and Bump. Orba's velocity and pressure sensitivity allow expressive control even after striking a chord. Use Radiate (move your finger outward) to adjust volume, Tilt to add effects like pitch bends, or Shake and Bump for percussive sounds like a shaker or tambourine. Orba’s capacitive-sensing interface captures every micro-movement, making each performance unique and bringing expression back to electronic instruments.

MIDI made easy

With MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) over USB-C and Bluetooth, Orba 3 seamless integration with music making apps like Ableton Live, GarageBand, and Logic Pro X. Whether in the studio or on the go, you can map Orba’s pads and gestures in your DAW for hands-on control, elevating your music production beyond traditional knobs, keys, and buttons.
