The Remo Kids Percussion Djembe is a winner of the prestigious Oppenheim Gold Seal Toy Awards for product quality. The history of the djembe originally from West Africa produces three distinct tones, deep bass tone when striking the center on the drumhead, mid tone played just of center, Rim shot played with fingers on edge of drumhead.
Rhythm is the building block for all music making.The Remo kids djembe features an Acousticon shell. Acousticon is made from multiple thin plies of 100% recycled wood-fiber materials, laminated under pressure into a solitary tubular structure. Each drum-shell is impregnated with special resins to aid-in leaving moisture out, and then given a special Acousticon coating inside for optimal tone/acoustic qualities.
Acousticon utilises high technology in its construction perhaps more than any previous drum shell. It takes the best qualities of wood and betters them for incredible consistency allowing unparalleled pitch, timbre, and projection. The continuous, one-piece wrap of Acousticon makes for a denser, better sounding drum. Because of its "uni-body" construction, there are no mismatched plies of wood, and all shells are constructed to exacting thicknesses, resulting in a sound with focus and articulation.
Skyndeep is the graphic infusion of pigment into a polyester surface making it uniquely attractive and providing a weather-resistant drum head with warm tones that increase sound, volume, and projection in any environment.
