One of the most famous alto sax models of all time, the YAS-23 has been proudly serving student saxophonists for over 40 years. This particular instrument is a terrific example, manufactured by Yamaha in Japan and still in excellent playing condition. The key action is smooth and hitch-free, and an instrument of this quality promises reliable intonation. The fact that the saxophone remains in such good condition is a testament to its build quality, and it still has many years of good service ahead.
Complete with a new Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, as well as the original cap and ligature, this YAS-23 is still housed in its original wood and leather hard case. The case itself is a beautiful addition, with very few markings, stitching all intact, and a plush blue interior.
This YAS-23 really is a fantastic, time-honoured option for a student alto saxophonist to start on, and will stand you in good stead for years of progression to come.
