Introducing the Nektar Impact LX49 MIDI controller
The LX series from Nektar is jam packed with intelligent and expressive performance control. These keyboards have a custom DAW connection that has been designed specifically for almost all software, including Cubase, Cakewalk, FL Studio, Garageband and many others. It is also compatible with both IOS and Windows.
The piano keys are full size and are covered to protect against dirt and dust while also complimenting the contemporary design of the LX49.
Increased possibilities
Naturally the keys are velocity sensitive, plus the LX49 includes 3 fixed velocity levels which cater for a consistent output. This means that you don't need to worry about how hard you play the keys and can simply focus on your music creation.
There are also octave and transpose buttons as well as a pitch bend and modulation wheel to you can quickly shift the keyboards output as and when needed, or alternatively, you can apply additional articulation with the wheels.
Advanced control centre
At the centre of the LX49s control panel, there are 9 30mm faders, 9 MIDI buttons and 8 encoders. Each one of the controls is programmable to send any MIDI CC message for use with hardware or software MIDI products.
Control settings can be stored in any of the 5 impact LX49 pre-sets for recall at any time and also, if you switch the Null setting on, any parameter values are stored when you change pre-sets so you will avoid any parameter jumping.
LED illumination pads
For beat creation, there are 8 velocity sensitive pads which will make your music creation process simple. They are calibrated to trigger at a light touch and they have a even velocity response.
Assignments are stored over power cycling so you don't lose your settings when you switch you system off. The "pad learn" feature also allows you to select a pad, play the note or drum sound you want on the keyboard and that's it. The sound will have been assigned to the pad.
Bitwig 8-track software included
Bitwig 8-track is an effective digital audio station that helps musicians start producing, performing and designing sounds. There's a large selection of instrument sounds and effects to choose from with up to 8 project tracks with audio or MIDI. Artists are able to play and record instruments, produce arrangements and design sounds with the help of the Impact LX series.
