Introducing the Aulos 211A Robin tenor recorder

The Aulos 211A tenor recorder is part of the well known and popular 'Robin' range which includes the 205A descant and 209B tenor recorder.

The instrument is produced using dark brown ABS resin which is hard wearing and of a very consistent quality. The instrument is a little smaller than some tenor recorders which makes it lighter and this coupled with finger holes which are less widely spaced make it the ideal model for the younger player - it is lighter and suites a smaller hand.

The instrument plays in the key of C and has a range from middle C to the D two octaves above that. It is supplied with a fitted leatherette bag along with a very detailed and useful fingering chart. It also come with joint grease and a cleaning rod to keep the recorder in tip top condition.

The tenor recorder produces a richer, deeper tone than the descant version and because of this model's lightweight design it is the ideal instrument to progress to for the younger student.

Perfect fit for my sons fingers. Sound quality is very good

A nice recorder at a good price.

Good quality instrument for a very good price compared to other companies.... just need to master the tenor recorder now!!!

Recorder very good but even though it was meant for people with smaller hands, it was still too big for me. I have since changed to a knick recorder with keys. This is not a criticism of the Aulos 211A.

A good price for moving on from descant.

Spent a lot of time researching the different tenor recorders available; I played the descant recorder many, many years ago but wanted to try something more mellow without spending a huge amount of money in case I didn't get on with it. I am still very new to it and getting used to the stretch to the notes, which will get easier with practice, but it has a beautiful tone and I love it already.
