Yamaha’s custom YTS875EX is the result of decades of painstaking research and trials with some of the world’s greatest saxophonists. Designed with the classical saxophonist in mind, the YTS-875EX offers great flexibility with a wide dynamic range – a stunning projection that can easily fill a hall with its authoritative tone.

Professional features

For a smoother, quicker action, the octave key has a unique ball joint redesign, and the bell/ body brace features two-point contact for enhanced projection and a free-blowing response. The one-piece bell adds unity to the body and makes the intonation in the middle to lower range smoother. The separate style key guards feature an adjustable screw cap stoppers for professional-style technical adjustments. The removal of the centre bow improves responses without affecting the quality of sound.

The custom Ex saxophone features a ‘lily’ engraving design, hand graved onto every instrument, as well as a custom EX logo as proof of the excellent craftmanship.

Superb playability

The 875 shape adopts an innovative design unique to Yamaha and produces a moderate resistance and solid tone. The ergonomic key layout is designed to fit players hands perfectly, helping them to concentrate on their performance without feeling any stress. The adjustable tear drop front F key improves playability, adjustable to players preferences and the mother of pearl key buttons make it easier to hold due to the soft, but not slippery surface.
