Valencia recently moved their production to Indonesia and opened a purpose built facility where the 200, 300 and 400 series classical guitars are now made. This has enabled them to source different woods and provide a higher standard of construction. They have proved to be arguably the most popular 'student' guitar brand with teachers and pupils in recent years and they continue to evolve to maintain value for money for their consumers.
A step up from the 200 series, these guitars feature a sitka spruce top and bound nato back and sides. It is the bound aspect that delivers a fuller, well rounded tone with better projection. Fitted with a solid 650mm scale length mahogany neck, 52mm nut and with a very unique teak fingerboard and bridge, this guitar really stands out from similar quality models.
The 300 series really took us by surprise with the visual aspect of the instrument. They are simply great looking guitars and feature unusual woods such as teak for the fingerboard and bridge and include 5-ply, black and white binding around the top, a detail usually found on more expensive guitars. The look is then finished off with gold plated machine heads with black buttons that add an extra sense of quality to the overall look of the guitar.
