The Richard Haker 703W descant recorder is a lovely upgrade from one of our student recorders, its a nice looking instrument and has really excellent intonation and tuning. The design is based on refinements made by the great 17th century craftsman Richard Haker and is better for it. The sound is refined, sonorous even, with a charming softer edge to its tone.
The instrument is of the standard 3 piece design, so it can be cleaned and maintained with little effort.
It has the standard soprano recorder range, from the C above middle C to the D two octaves above that and looks different to the norm with its nicely finished simulated wood grain and ivory trim.
