Flexible sound
This trumpet is at home in almost any style of music. It features a medium-large bore and a yellow-brass bell for a great sound with clear projection. It has the kind of flexibility needed for playing in a quintet but enough tonal power for pop, funk, jazz or orchestral work. These qualities make it a terrific workhorse trumpet for professionals, or students looking to develop a range of skills across genres, using a consistent and reliable horn.
It also has a hammered one-piece yellow brass bell, resulting in a pure, precise, and superior tone for a perfectly balanced, resonant sound. Along with a one-piece, drawn, gold brass leadpipe and a conventional tuning slide for a slightly darker sound.
Impressive construction
The YTR6335 is built with monel pistons, which are resistant to corrosion and will retain a smooth action for many years, making them an ideal choice for professional trumpet models.
Hand-lapping pistons and slides ensure an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casing or slide parts. This helps to achieve smooth air flow, which improves the response and intonation of the instrument.
A high-energy laser fuses the brass together, for a virtually seamless bell that allows continuous even vibrations, whilst the pressure-formed tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance.
