This YRS314B descant/soprano racorder from Yamaha is superbly tuned and finished in an attractive 'ebony wood effect'. The body comprises of 3 parts which assemble and disassemble easily, and a small pot of grease is supplied in case the joints become stiff over time.
The recorder features an 'arched windway' which allows for any condensation to drain easily and therefore not interrupt the sound. As a result the tone is crystal clear and the sound projects well.
The instrument is supplied in a top quality Yamaha cloth bag, with aforementioned joint grease, a cleaning rod and a detailed fingering chart.
