Manufactured in c.1912, our beautiful bubinga Steinway Model O grand piano was rebuilt some years ago and is a superb value instrument. At 5'10 in length it offers wonderful resonance and clarity and is a stunning piece of period furniture too. The original bubinga veneered casework has been finished in a cellulose lacquer to create a hard-wearing finish while retaining the look and colour of traditional French Polish, and the action has clearly been rebuilt including a new, modern style keyboard. Built in the New York factory this example of the Model O has spade legs and lyre, with chrome fittings and an elegant, understated music desk and is a fabulous blend of period charm and modern performance. It is unusual to find one in this rare and exotic wood finish, bubinga comes from Equatorial Africa and has a somewhat more detailed patina than rosewood.
Upon arriving at our showroom the instrument has been voiced and regulated by our in house technician, and our polisher has cleaned and buffed the casework. Supplied with a 2 year warranty our c.1912 Steinway Model O grand piano is on display in our Surrey showroom and ready to try.
