Introducing the Suzuki Manji Major 10-hole diatonic harmonica 3 key set with case

With 50 years of technical expertise, Suzuki crafts professional-grade harmonicas designed for musicians seeking excellent quality sound and durability. This Suzuki Manji set includes three harmonicas in G, A, and C keys, along with a padded EVA zip case to keep your instruments safe and secure.

Suzuki Manji harmonicas are made in Japan, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Whether you're performing on stage or practising at home, the Manji harmonica will provide you with an outstanding performance.

One of Suzuki's most popular models over the last 10 years, the Manji harmonica features longer reeds than other diatonic models. These help to create a rich tone, and enable you to play louder without the feeling of 'overblowing'. This big, broad sound makes the Manji ideal for blues, rock and country styles.

Exceptional tuning

The Suzuki Manji models excel in producing responsive, quality tones that are ideal for blues, rock, and other dynamic music styles. The back of the sound covers are open, resulting in a special projection of the sound. The harmonica's voice is further enhanced by its composite wood-resin body that replicates the tonal warmth of natural wood while maintaining the durability and ease of playing that the resin offers.

Premium materials

Built for performance, the Manji features a solid comb reinforced with natural wood fibres, providing a comfortable feel and allowing the harmonica to transmit sound effectively. The reeds are made from phosphor bronze, a material chosen for its longevity, precision, and superior tonal qualities. The polished stainless steel reed covers not only add a sleek aesthetic but also enhance durability and tone. Each reed plate is mounted with the utmost accuracy for flawless playability and stability over time.

Designed for all players

The Suzuki Manji harmonica is crafted with the professional player in mind. However, its easy playability and overblow capabilities also make it a great choice for beginners. Whether you are a seasoned player or just starting out, these comfortable-to-play harmonicas will suit any performance.

Durability and longevity

The reed plates are securely fitted to the body with screws, allowing for easy maintenance and replacement. The unique combination of materials, including the wood/resin composite body and phosphor bronze reeds, ensures that this harmonica remains durable and reliable for many years, even against moisture and wear. Plus, the durable silver finish will mean they look as good as they sound.

How are Suzuki harmonicas labelled?

When choosing a harmonica, it’s important to know how the key is labelled—and Suzuki makes it simple. Unlike some brands that label their instruments by the second position (often used for blues), Suzuki harmonicas are labelled according to the first position, also known as straight harp. This means the key printed on the harmonica is the key you get when playing melodies in first position. The handy table below shows you the corresponding keys for playing in each position. For example, if you want to play in the key of C in second position (C mixolydian), you need an F harmonica.

  • First position - standard major scale, ideal for folk melodies and simple pop songs
  • Second position - mixolydian mode, perfect for the blues
  • Third position - dorian mode, lending a darker, minor soundscape
