More about this title

Little Suite

A delightful suite of five contrasting movements aimed at the intermediate bassoonist.

Philip Godfrey studied music at Cambridge University where he was an organ scholar and musical director/composer for the Footlights. As a pianist, he regularly accompanies choirs, singers and instrumentalists; and has performed as a soloist at the Mansion House and St. James' Palace in London, and at Windsor Castle. He has been the Organist and Director of Music at St. James' Church West Hampstead in London for some thirty years.

Philip Godfrey's almost sixty compositions - instrumental, choral and for the theatre - are widely published and performed. He has composed extensively for young people and his tonal and accessible work is influenced by popular genres as well as the 'classical' repertoire, as suggested by the range of titles and styles of the movements of his 'Little Suite'.
