Introducing the Roland LX705 digital piano

As the first model in the new LX700 series the LX705 punches hugely above its weight! Offering a great specification for the price it combines the best features of the higher end LX706 and LX708 with excellent value for money. The sound chip is the same, offering PureAcoustic modelling technology with unlimited polyphony and the same choice of American or European grand piano voices. The instrument benefits from Roland's Piano Designer menu, enabling the pianist to customise almost every aspect of the piano sound from lid position to duplex scaling to the amount of cabinet resonance - you can make the piano your own, just like an acoustic instrument and also save these and share them with the rest of the world using the Piano Designer app. Bluetooth connectivity enables use of the Piano Designer and new Piano Every Day apps, along with audio streaming so you can play along with your favourite songs.

A 4 speaker Acoustic Projection speaker system delivers the sound, a cut down version of that found in the LX706 and LX708, with the speakers specially positioned around the body of the piano to project the sound in the same way as an acoustic piano. The four speakers are split into two pairs, with each pair optimised to deliver superior sound reproduction across the piano’s dynamic range – even down to the noise as the hammers strike the strings, or the resonance of the cabinet as the sound reverberates through the piano’s body.

The PHA50 key action from the previous top of the range model LX17 is featured in the LX705, with wooden sided naturals, escapement and ivory feel and provides a well balance and authentic touch. Roland's new Hybrid Grand action with haptic vibrations is featured in the LX706 and LX708 only.

With traditional acoustic upright piano style cabinetry the LX705 delivers the elegance of an acoustic piano at a competitive price point and is worth comparing against the Yamaha Clavinova CLP645.
