Our used Kemble Classic upright piano comes to us from a domestic home and is in exceptional condition throughout. The attractive mahogany veneer finish has sustained very little fading and the tone remains rich and resonant, and it is clear that the instrument has been very well kept by its previous owners. At 109cm tall the piano is the same height as the new Yamaha B1 but has a solid spruce soundboard for enhanced resonance. With 85 keys is slightly shorter so that it can fit into a smaller space, while the celeste or muffler pedal moves a piece of felt between the hammers and the strings so that the piano can be played quietly or at unsociable hours. Built under the stewardship of Yamaha in c.1995 our Kemble Classic is a refined and resonant instrument, ideal for the advancing pianist and an excellent domestic choice.
