Like each MMX Signature A** grade cello, it is hand carved and personally selected by master luthier Guofang Wang in the MMX workshop in China with utmost care and attention to detail. The selected spruce, flamed maple and ebony give the cello an attractive appearance and excellent tonal potential. Once the instrument is assembled, an oil-based varnish is layered by hand to give the instrument an antique chestnut brown finish with great depth and warmth.
