The Utrecht Te Deum was first performed on 7th July 1713 at the thanksgiving service in St Paul's Cathedral, London, for the Treaty of Utrecht which concluded the War of Spanish Succession. Majestic fireworks were displayed along the Thames and the 'Te Deum' is also a firework of Baroque sound - it ranges through F sharp minor, A minor, F major, D minor, C major and G minor as well as the expected ceremonial D major.
