This is a fantastic little instrument! With solid wooden school instruments from manufactures like Moeck costing in excess of £50, this recorder workshop model is wonderful value for money.
The recorder is crafted from solid maple, which brings a lovely clear and pure quality to the tone. It has a smooth and shaped mouthpiece with a wooden insert which directs the air flow very accurately and gives the instrument superb intonation.
It is a two piece instrument, with the joint made with a cork insert. This is rather like a clarinet and provides a perfect, reliable and adjustable seal. Like all Baroque recorders, it has a range from middle C to D, two octaves above.
The instrument comes with all the necessary accessories - Cork grease to enable a supple and adjustable join, a woollen cleaning mob for absorbing internal moisture, a fingering chart which is a very useful tool especially for beginners and a snug, protective case.
