The Aulos 204AF descant recorder is a model specifically designed for those who may have limited movement in their hands. The model is based on the standard 205A descant Robin model. It is the same length, has the same cavity wall design and curved windway - so the tonal quality, intonation and tuning are all perfect.
However, this model is rather cleverly designed! It comes in 7 pieces and a number of the finger holes are adjustable so they can be moved to suit the individual. Better than that though, the player can articulate a full chromatic scale from the C above middle C to the A two octaves above that using only six fingers. If seven fingers are available in any combination this extends the range by three semitones.
A very cleverly designed recorder!
