The gathering drum is a large, floor standing drum and can generally be played by a group of up to four people. The gathering drum has taken its name from the large drumhead which allows the players to ‘gather’ around the drum. It is used in cultures around the world for: ceremonies, bringing people together along with signalling for crowd interaction and dancing!
