Collegium Choral Series - John Rutter |
The Collegium Choral Series has been created in order to make available in print some of the best of the music recorded by John Rutter and the Cambridge Singers. The series mainly consists of often-requested choral ‘gems‘, many of which have long been unavailable in print or accessible only in out-of-date or expensive editions. John Rutter’s new editions are practical yet scholarly, beautifully printed, and attractively priced. Every piece in the series, whether well-known or undiscovered, is of exceptional interest.
In addition, the Collegium Choral Series presents John Rutter’s own recent compositions and arrangements. His latest work, Feel the Spirit, promises to become a favourite with choirs and choral societies everywhere. It is a cycle of seven spirituals arranged for mezzo-soprano soloist, mixed choir, and orchestra or chamber ensemble. Equally suitable for concert, school or church use, this 30-minute work brings new life to such well-loved titles as Steal away, I got a robe and When the saints go marching in with vivid, expressive arrangements that are well within the capability of normal choirs.
The Cambridge Singers’ recent hymn recording, Sing ye heavens, has led to many enquiries about the music heard on it, now available in the Collegium Choral Series. John Rutter’s own hymn Eternal God is on the theme of music itself, and his new arrangements of fifteen hymn "standards" – some with brass, some with harp, some with organ – are suitable for a range of occasions, including festivals. Choirs already use his descant version of Herbert Howells’ All my hope on God is founded, also available in the series.
New titles are regularly added to the Collegium Choral Series, to serve the needs of choirs and to complement the high-quality reputation of Collegium’s recordings.

With such a huge online catalogue of music books, it is inevitable that from time to time there will be errors in pricing caused either by
our mistake, manufacturers rises and currency fluctuations. We took the decision that providing a comprehensive reference catalogue was more useful for
our customers and more important than being able to guarantee 100% price accuracy at all times.
It is especially difficult with music books imported from Europe, the Far East and America as many of these publishers amend their prices
without notice as and when their prices go up. As such prices and availability are subject to change without notice. However in this event we will
always advise of any changes before fulfilling an order.
Thank you for your understanding.
