The Highwayman is a popular narrative poem set in 18th century rural England, and is well-known for its vivid imagery and tragic love-story. Written by Alfred Noyes and first published in 1906, it became the author's most successful work, and is now studied at Key Stage 2 and 3 as part of the National Curriculum in England, as well as at schools and colleges elsewhere in the UK and around the world. In this "Micromusical" adaption, the story is presented using Noyes' original text alongside exciting and evocative new songs by Christopher Norton.060128615
