The YHR567 double French horn is part of Yamaha’s intermediate series, which is perfect for students who are progressing through the 5+ grades. The easy response and sure note centering of this great-value instrument makes it ideal for students, and the colourful tone and precise intonation makes it attractive to professional players in top orchestras. Plus, the 4th rotor thumb lever can be adjusted to fit any hand size from small student hands to large adult hands, making this horn suitable for a broad range of players.

The double horn was invented to combat the problem of a single horn's limited range of pitches. Before it's invention, a horn player would have to switch between two separate single horns; one pitched in F and the other pitched in Bb. These have now been combined into a double horn with a shared lead pipe and bell section.

Soild construction

The taper of this French horn’s leadpipe improves response and intonation throughout, and the tapered valves wear for a long time without air leakage. The wrap allows for a more comfortable hand position and smoother air flow, while the use of nickel silver inner and outer slides ensures better fit and less chance of corrosion.

Excellent sound in all registers

The combination of the secure high register, strong projection, and quick attack of the Bb horn with the rich, warm timbre of the F horn makes this double horn ideal for most playing situations.
