The Jazzlab Saxholder and Saxholder-XL are superb alternatives to traditional saxophone neck straps. They eliminate all stress from your neck and transfer the weight of the instrument across the shoulders and to the stomach, using its patented three-point support system. This makes the instrument feel lighter and allows you to play for longer periods of time without worry of neck strain or back ache.
To use, simply swing both the shoulder handles up until they click into place, pull out the telescopic slide and rotate the abdominal rest and you are ready to attach your instrument.
The holder provides great comfort for the player when in a seated or standing playing position and does not slip like regular straps can be prone to doing. It is made from a mix of both aluminium to keep it light, kevlar for extreme durability and neatly folds away to be placed within the bell of the Sax for easy storage.
Supplied with extra string in case of damage and with a pull tie cloth bag for safe storage.
Both the SAXHOLDER and the SAXHOLDERXL are able to hold all sizes of saxophone from soprano - baritone as well as bass clarinet and bassoon. It is suitable for adults and for children from 12 years.
The XL model has the exact same specifications as the original saxholder but it has been designed to cater for larger players and is best suited for players 6'3" and taller.
Jon our resident sax player says:
We have had review after review stating that the 'Saxholder' is a revolutionary way to hold a Sax. I must say that I have only ever used the traditional sling, and whilst there are some wonderful slings and straps now available, I have always favoured the Neotech brand, the 'Saxholder' is something completely different!
I agree, it does look a bit odd, but it really does make the instrument almost weightless. Best of all you can use it with the Baritone, Tenor, Alto and Soprano saxophones. It is also great for the Bass Clarinet and the Bassoon, all heavy instruments. I can see why it is so popular!

Hardly feels as though you are supporting the sax. Great buy.

I still have to find time to learn the tenor saxophone, but having this harness for the bassoon I just had to buy the sax version as well. No more painful neck, and no awkward harness to fasten around me. Great purchase.
ll have to find time to learn the tenor saxophone,,
Very quick delivery and good price.
Internet purchase arrived quickly good seller communication. Most comfortable sax harness/ sling to date copes admirably even with my bari sitting and standing. Price was way below Amazon at Chamberlain's.
Internet purchase, quick response. Nice bit of kit. I anticipate it will ease my neck.
Arrived as promised. I'm using it on an oval euphonium and hadn't had any luck with straps specially made for euphonium - they're all a terrible strain on the back and neck, and the rings provided on the instrument seem to be in an odd place for weight distribution. I'm happy to say that after threading in the longer string supplied with the saxholder and a bit of fiddling around, it works an absolute treat. It makes a heavy instrument feel practically weightless, doesn't feel restrictive at all and frees up my arms no end. A very happy customer using it for an instrument they hadn't intended it to be used for.
I love this. My neck and shoulders have been given a new lease of life. I would highly recommend
I love this. Saw it talked about on the Cafe Saxophone forum, and the review on Pete Thomas's 'Taming the Sax" site, and decided to take advantage of Chamberlain's music offer, hoping it would be as good as reviewed. Well, it's better, it practically renders the sax weightless, and as a returner to practice I can't tell you how much I appreciate not having this great weight hanging off my neck, - for anyone still thinking about it, don't, just get it. Practice is just pure pleasure now, no pain. It looks odd at first out the box, and then it's a revelation.
The item was as described although as an Xmas present it has yet to be used. Unfortunately the box was a bit battered on receipt. Which is ok as it is for my son, but if it was for a gift elsewhere it would have been embarrassing. Not sure if it was the post that caused the damage or it left the sender in this state.

Very sorry item arrived in damaged packing, hope otherwise all OK. Thank you.
I imagine many people see the traditional saxophone harness as being a part that cannot be altered, it is synonymous with the saxophone! Well, I think the Sax Holder is going to alter a few minds. I recently began using the Sax Holder and I am won over, my saxophone weighs 7 pounds and with this product you can hardly tell that you have that amount of weight on. It is easy to wear, adapts to the individuals shape or preference of position and sits nicely on the shoulders. The key thing for me is that I now have no pressure on my neck, a problem that numerous harnesses could not resolve. The idea of having the weight distribute over the shoulders and the stomach is simply genius. I would recommend Sax Holder to anyone, try it, and see the difference it makes to your posture, stamina and movement
I got the sax holder as an alternative to a normal strap, my neck has a problem and this certainly helped that. You have to be careful if bending forward to pick things up,as it could fall off but overall very good!
Just got a Saxholder as I have been finding it difficult to keep my bari in a balanced position when playing. It is a revelation! I am now playing with in more upright and out in front and it has enabled me to be able to relax my fingers instead of constantly having to try and hold on. The mouthpiece now just sits comfortably in front of my mouth. Now my hands can relax and fingering is much easier. Amazing!

This works really well. I have a bad neck and wasn't able to play my tenor sax with a normal neck strap. With this on I hardly feel the weight of the tenor at all and the weight is on my shoulders. It's easy to put in and take off too
Fantastic item - takes the strain completely off my long-suffering neck! Great price, item packed very securely and delivered promptly.
Great service from beginning to end and a great price, thank you.
Brilliant! Wish I'd had one of these ages ago. Takes all the strain away from my neck nd so easy to put on and take off.
very efficient and speedy service
WWW Chamberlain Music Amazon Payments,
Brilliant just the job
It does exactly what it says, takes all the strain off the neck and onto the shoulders and abdomen.
Purchased via ebay, and had a mixup on published delivery dates due to stock availability. As soon as I informed Chamberlain I was made aware of the situation, new likely dates. As soon as stock arrived, the order was dispatched without delay. The Saxholder? Brilliant. Worth waiting for. Works well with alto and tenor, hopefuly I can try a baritone soon. Initially concerned with the pressure on the diaphragm from the lower support as I'm asthmatic, but not had an issue at all, much to my relief, in addition to no more neck strain - double relief.
After recently suffering neck and back pain using conventional sax strap, the Saxholder is a revelation! (I play tenor) After initial set up, which took a few minutes, I hooked on the sax and was amazed how light it felt. Didn't slip off the shoulders or the abdomen, played for a couple of hours at home and was absolutely chuffed. No pain, no stiffness. I found that standing with hips pushed forward slightly was the ideal posture. Every saxophonist should try it. Delivery was super fast! Excellent service, best price I could find! Many thanks...
Excellent distribution of the weight. Only issue with it is the initial set up. It is simple but takes a lot of adjusting to the contours of ones body. Once set up it is excellent.

As a true beginner and having had three hour long lessons, my neck was feeling the strain on each lesson and after a google search, I found Chamberlain Music selling this saxophone holder cheaper than any other on the net. All said and don, it is brilliant, no strain whatsoever. I would recommend this to anyone.
An excellent product, which I have no doubt will save my back and neck over the forthcoming years! Ever since taking up the tenor saxophone, I've suffered with neck pain and back aches. The SaXholder has just transformed my playing immediately! Whereas before I could only play an hour maximum, together with my heavy sax whispermute I can now play as long as I want without any pain. Highly recommended product at an excellent price, from a great retailer!

Mr Larkin - Thank you so much for placing your detailed and informative review - and for your kind comments. John.
This is great, I wish I had discovered this before I was getting a pain in the neck and then I wouldn't have got one. I took my time to adjust it correctly, felt a little strange at first, most of my playing is sitting down. Several slight adjustments later, no pain in my neck, breathing easier, no restriction on my neck, my tenor sax felt light and just great. Highly recommend this piece of kit.
Mrs Sandra Pepper,
I have intended to use this with my heavy baritone, but it is so good in practice - really frees your breathing and neck muscles, it is quick to put on, simple to store. I shall use it on all occasions, with alto and baritone.
Mr Jiri George Novak,
excellent firm recommended!!
I ordered this item on a Thursday with the free delivery option, and it arrived 2 days later on the Saturday. Can't grumble at that!
