The Jupiter JCL-1100S is aimed squarely at the upper end of the student market. This instrument is beautifully made from solid wood and is the ideal clarinet for those undertaking the upper grades.
It is a similar instrument to the JCL-750S-Q but does have a number of differences. It has the Boehm system of key-work. It is a very streamlined fingering system with additions designed to allow more in-tune trilling on certain notes. It also has a low Eb key which can be very useful if transposing parts written for the A clarinet at sight. It also has a raised C/G tone hole for a natural left hand third finger position. These are all features you would expect on professional models and consequently they assist the advancing student enormously.
The JCL-1100S also has a custom tapered bell without the metal ring which allows the bell to vibrate much more freely and contributes to the light weight feel of the instrument. This model is made entirely from select, aged, solid Grenadilla wood which is an African hard wood often used in instrument manufacture. In addition to providing a lovely, dark rich tone it is also gives an attractive and classic look to the clarinet.
The instrument is supplied as an outfit with a French-style hard case and cleaning materials. Like all our woodwind and brass instruments, this clarinet is set up here, in our workshops, prior to dispatch.
