These large glossy finished double headed drums are called dholaks. Each fantastic drum has tough nylon stringing and welded metal tension rings. Although it originated in India, the versatile dholak is now used in a huge number of global musical styles.

The dholak is usually played with only the bare hands although some styles call for a metal thumb ring and it is usually played slung over the shoulder standing up, in the lap or under the knee on the floor.

Height: 45cm approx.
9" head, 6" base
