Senior backend web developer

Full time - immediate start

We are looking for a full-time backend developer to join the team in the Haslemere offices (though remote workers will be considered), and mastermind the creation of a collection of web applications during a period of rapid growth and expansion for the company.

You will be expected to code a variety of database driven e-commerce websites and content management areas using programming frameworks and languages of your choice, integrate them with existing systems where necessary, and work closely with the design and frontend team to bring the pages to life. You will also work with the data team to ensure that all workflows involved in the day-to-day running of the sites operate at optimum efficiency.

This would be an exciting blank-slate opportunity for a passionate young developer to make their mark on the web, but is just as well suited to a wise old hand looking for an interesting project. Django, Ruby on Rails, Node.js - the choice is yours. Experience with online retail and an interest in music is desired, but the most important thing is that you eat and drink code!

Please send you CV to media.admin@frederickhyde.com and include links to examples of your previous work along with a brief description of your level of involvement and technologies used in each. A very generous salary package is available to the right person.
