These octopus ukueleles are excellent value for money. With their quality pine bodies, mahogany necks, rosewood fingerboards and smart metallic finishes, they're a superb beginners' instrument for people of all ages.
They have proved to be particularly popular with schools; the kids find them easy to tune and they love the bright colours.
Ukuleles provide a great introduction to chord structures, intervals and general having fun making music!
Octopus ukuleles are fitted with Aquila Nylgut strings, widely considered the ukulele world's best strings for intonation and tone.

I think the Ukulele is probably the perfect novice instrument isn't it? You can certainly with practice make it sound brilliant but it also takes no time at all to learn a few chords.
This particular one is a really striking green colour, it's a pastel-like shade which, to my eyes at least, I prefer to the Mahalo or Brunswick brands.
Worth pointing out is that the Aquila strings are probably the most stable ukulele strings on the market, but they do require a few re-tunes when new in order for them to settle. Great little instrument, much easier to play than a small guitar, and for kids possibly a cooler instrument than the recorder?
Soprano ukuleles use re-entrant tuning, where the strings are not ordered from lowest to highest pitch.
